Technical Domain Specialist – FICO Blaze Advisor

About the role
Our client in the banking sector is seeking a Blaze Domain Specialist to lead the implementation of decision solutions using FICO Blaze Advisor. The role is a one‑year fixed‑term contract with strong potential for extension based on performance.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop and test rule repositories in Blaze Advisor/Decision Modeler across multiple projects.
- Collaborate with technical product owners, architects, business analysts and offshore teams to ensure successful go‑live deliveries.
- Create and maintain documentation and knowledge artefacts for BAU support.
- Facilitate design approvals, conduct sanity‑checks on existing rule sets and configure testing frameworks.
Required profile
- Minimum 5 years of experience with FICO Blaze Advisor and 3 years in a technical team leadership role.
- Technically related degree (Grade 12, BSc Hons or equivalent) and solid background in object‑oriented development.
- Experience in Java‑based rules‑engine applications, support environments and exposing BRE rules via Java web services.
Required skills
- Proficiency in Java.Net or C# (5+ years).
- Strong knowledge of FICO Blaze Advisor version 7.x.
- Hands‑on experience with Git; familiarity with JUnit and Azure is advantageous.
