Technical Director – Water Resources Management

About the role

Zutari is seeking an accomplished Technical Director to lead its Water Resources Management practice. The role provides strategic technical leadership across flood risk, stormwater, hydrology and integrated water resources projects for public and private clients.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and deliver complex water resources projects from feasibility through detailed design and implementation.
• Provide specialist expertise in flood risk assessment, stormwater planning, hydrological and hydraulic analysis, and climate‑change resilience.
• Act as the technical authority for major proposals, ensuring compliance with national and international standards.
• Develop and grow client relationships, prepare technical and commercial bids, and represent the company at industry forums.
• Direct multidisciplinary teams, mentor staff, and drive project performance in quality, budget, schedule and risk.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; Master’s in Water Resources Management or related field is advantageous.
• Professional Engineer registration with ECSA.
• Minimum 15 years’ experience in water resources consulting, delivering large‑scale infrastructure projects.
• Proven business development and client relationship management experience.
