Technical Business Analyst – Product Office (Investment Management)

About the role

Join a leading investment manager as a Technical Business Analyst in the Product Office, bridging investment technology, user experience, and business strategy. You will translate complex portfolio management challenges into clear requirements, visual artefacts, and actionable solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse business needs, investment-domain problems, processes, and system behaviour across multiple products.
• Apply quantitative, qualitative, and visual analysis to understand complex problems and communicate solutions.
• Support discovery activities, problem definition, solution framing, and visualisation of workflows, user journeys, and UI concepts.
• Translate business and regulatory requirements into structured backlog items and product artefacts.
• Create UI mock‑ups, diagrams, process flows, and other visual artefacts to guide front‑end development.
• Utilise and improve approved AI tools for meeting note analysis, requirements gathering, use‑case creation, and documentation.
• Prepare product artefacts for governance, support product committee submissions, and assist with demos and roll‑outs.
• Shadow the Head of Product Office in prioritisation, trade‑off, and governance decisions, and contribute to backlog prioritisation.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of Business Analyst experience in product roles within investment, wealth, or asset management.
• Minimum completed Honours degree with strong academic performance.
• Demonstrable analytical ability and comfort with both quantitative and qualitative analysis.
• Clear, confident written and visual communication skills.
• Bias toward action and continuous improvement.
