Team Leader

About the role

Hollywoodbets has an exciting opportunity for a Team Leader at its Park Branch in Durban. The role supports branch management to meet business objectives in line with regional and retail operations strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Drive branch growth by achieving targets, updating betting boards, and educating guests on products.
• Manage cash administration, including daily banking, FICA compliance, and fraud prevention.
• Oversee branch reporting, stock control, and daily newsflashes.
• Ensure security procedures are followed, including camera checks, panic button locations, and secure cash‑up processes.
• Maintain branch appearance to Hollywood standards and handle equipment issues promptly.
• Enforce compliance with internal controls, gambling board regulations, and company policies.
• Lead people management tasks such as roster planning, attendance monitoring, and recruitment documentation.
• Provide excellent guest service, resolve complaints, and promote a guest‑centric culture.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of leadership experience, preferably within the gaming or betting industry.
• Relevant diploma, degree or NQF 4 learnership and a valid driver’s licence.
• Ability to work 24/7 for emergencies and manage a team in a fast‑paced retail environment.
