Team Leader – Delivery Operations

About the role

Takealot Fulfilment Solutions (TFS) is seeking an experienced Team Leader to oversee the Takealot Delivery Team (TDT) at its Johannesburg Distribution Centre. You will be responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and on‑time delivery operations while driving performance against key KPIs.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the TDT to meet daily delivery targets and service level agreements.
• Allocate tasks, optimise workloads and manage shift planning, attendance and staffing levels.
• Monitor performance through KPIs, take corrective actions and coach team members.
• Ensure strict compliance with health, safety and environmental standards.
• Resolve operational issues, conflicts and escalations promptly.
• Collaborate with internal departments to coordinate delivery and warehouse activities.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and report on operational metrics.
• Investigate and document damages, losses or missing parcels and implement corrective measures.

Required profile

• Matric certificate or equivalent.
• Diploma or qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related field.
• Proven experience in leading a delivery or warehouse team.
• Strong understanding of operational KPIs, health & safety regulations and shift management.
