Tax Senior Associate – Affordable Housing

About the role

EisnerAmper is seeking a Tax Senior Associate to join its Affordable Housing practice. The role involves delivering high‑quality tax services to real‑estate and affordable‑housing clients while supporting the growth of the team.

Key responsibilities

• Review tax return details and prepare complex returns as assigned.
• Research intermediate tax issues and respond to IRS, state/local, and other notices.
• Prepare supporting documents and schedules for intermediate tax projects.
• Assist the manager with routine client correspondence and organize client meetings.
• Manage a limited number of client engagements under manager or partner direction.
• Develop and coach staff and interns, providing training as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of tax compliance or consulting experience in public accounting or professional services, preferably supporting real‑estate or affordable‑housing clients.
• Progress toward CPA, Enrolled Agent, or a Master’s in Taxation is preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with GoSystems tax software.
• Proficiency with CCH Axcess tax software.
