About the role
The Tax Practitioner will deliver comprehensive tax compliance services to a diverse portfolio of individual, trust, estate and company clients. This role supports the Portfolio Management team by ensuring accurate tax filings, timely payments and strong client relationships, contributing to the retention and growth of managed share portfolios.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare, compute and submit provisional and annual tax returns for individuals, trusts, estates and companies.
- Arrange and monitor provisional and assessed tax payments, including tax clearances and cessation of residency matters.
- Review income tax assessments, lodge objections and submit supporting documentation.
- Maintain up‑to‑date client tax records and ensure compliance with current legislation.
- Correspond with clients and SARS, resolving queries within statutory timeframes.
- Recover fees for tax services rendered and contribute to internal and client communications.
- Assist in consolidating and expanding the tax book of business.
Required profile
- Post‑graduate qualification in tax and registration as a tax practitioner in good standing.
- Minimum five years of independent tax compliance experience.
- Proven track record of delivering accurate tax work and building client relationships.
- Strong client focus, collaborative mindset and resilience under pressure.
- Excellent written English communication skills.
