Tax Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager to lead tax strategy, compliance and risk management for a dynamic group operating across multiple jurisdictions. Reporting to the Group Tax Manager, you will have broad exposure to corporate tax, VAT, transfer pricing, international tax and tax risk governance.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee preparation and filing of corporate income tax, VAT, PAYE and customs & excise returns for all entities.
• Review and approve tax computations, supporting schedules and ensure adherence to legislation and filing deadlines.
• Develop and implement tax strategies aligned with commercial objectives and conduct regular tax health checks.
• Identify, assess and mitigate tax risks, maintaining robust controls and governance frameworks.
• Manage interactions with SARS, including audits, disputes, voluntary disclosures and maintain professional relationships with tax authorities.
• Provide technical tax advice to finance teams, operational managers and senior leadership on complex issues.

Required profile

• Qualified tax professional with several years of experience in corporate tax, VAT and transfer pricing.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to interpret tax legislation.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills and experience working with senior leadership.
