Tax Consultant – Port Elizabeth

About the role

Our client, a well‑established accounting, auditing and advisory practice in Walmer, Port Elizabeth, is looking for a motivated Tax Consultant to join their growing team. You will manage a diverse portfolio of individual, trust and corporate tax clients while ensuring full compliance with South African tax regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit income tax, provisional tax, VAT and other statutory returns for a range of clients.
• Maintain client compliance with SARS deadlines and requirements.
• Liaise directly with SARS on audits, verifications, objections and general tax queries.
• Provide tax advice, support and planning to improve clients' tax efficiency.
• Stay up‑to‑date with changes in South African tax legislation.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships while delivering excellent service.

Required profile

• BCom Accounting, BCom Taxation or a related qualification.
• 3‑5 years of taxation experience within an accounting or auditing practice.
• Strong working knowledge of South African tax legislation and SARS processes.
• Registered Tax Practitioner (SAIT) is advantageous.
