Tax Compliance Specialist

About the role

Osiris is seeking a Tax Compliance Specialist to support its finance department in delivering timely tax reporting and compliance for its gaming operations across Africa. The role will involve working closely with senior management, finance teams, and external auditors to ensure accurate tax calculations and filings.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with reviewing direct and indirect tax calculations.
• Prepare and file weekly, monthly, and periodic operational tax returns for all gaming entities, including Gaming Tax, VAT, WHT, excise, and levies.
• File corporate income tax (CIT) and maintain the compliance tax calendar.
• Support group tax provisions, effective tax rate calculations, and deferred tax reporting.
• Provide accurate tax data for monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Offer ad‑hoc tax assistance on projects, investigate legislative anomalies, and validate tax assumptions.
• Support internal and external tax audits by gathering required information.
• Update group tax matrices and communicate changes.
• Assist with tax research and operational setup for new African markets, including ERP integration and filing portal registration.
• Maintain compliance and audit trackers for all African operating companies.
