About the role
We are seeking a Tax and Compliance Officer to join our Group Finance Department in Cape Town’s CBD. The role focuses on ensuring compliance with REIT, JSE, CIPC and company secretarial requirements and managing dividend processes.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee REIT and JSE compliance activities.
- Manage CIPC and company secretarial obligations.
- Handle dividend processing and related reporting.
- Support tax compliance in line with the Income Tax Act, VAT Act and Companies Act.
Required profile
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Taxation, Accounting or Commerce (B.Com or equivalent).
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a tax or compliance role, preferably within a listed company, REIT or professional services environment.
- Strong knowledge of the Income Tax Act, VAT Act and Companies Act.
- Familiarity with REIT tax provisions (section 25BB) is advantageous.
