Talent Acquisition Specialist – City Deep

About the role

Karan Beef is seeking an experienced Talent Acquisition Specialist to be based in City Deep, Johannesburg. The role will manage the full recruitment lifecycle for multiple operational sites, including sourcing, screening, interviewing and onboarding candidates across a variety of positions. Travel to sites such as Heidelberg, Nigel, Dundee and Albert Falls will be required.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end recruitment from vacancy approval to appointment and onboarding.
• Partner with department managers to define job specifications and candidate profiles.
• Draft and post job advertisements on job boards, social media, the company website and other channels.
• Source and headhunt candidates through professional networks, referrals and industry contacts.
• Screen CVs, conduct telephone and face‑to‑face interviews, and coordinate interview schedules with line managers.
• Perform reference, background and pre‑employment checks, and arrange medical assessments.
• Maintain accurate recruitment records, vacancy trackers and reports.
• Build and sustain a talent pipeline for current and future vacancies.

Required profile

• Minimum Grade 12; a qualification in Human Resources, Recruitment or related field is advantageous.
• At least 5 years of recruitment or talent acquisition experience, preferably in an operational, industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to manage the full recruitment process and to source hard‑to‑fill positions.
• Strong organisational, time‑management and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Professional, confidential and ethical approach with the ability to work independently under pressure.
