Tailings Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Tailings Engineer to join our team in Johannesburg or Pretoria. The role focuses on geotechnical analysis, optimisation of tailings designs and delivering expert technical advice while building strong client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Provide analytical support and technical advice on tailings issues to clients.
• Coordinate engineering deliverables and procurement activities to ensure safe and efficient TSF execution.
• Commit to continuous learning with the goal of achieving Professional Registration (Pr.Eng.).
• Support the growth of junior engineers and contribute to a positive organisational culture.
• Lead health and safety initiatives and manage risks through design optimisation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (BEng or BSc) in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering; Master’s degree advantageous.
• 5–10 years post‑graduate experience in engineering and construction projects.
• Right to work in South Africa, hold a valid passport and be prepared to travel.
