Tactical Production Planner

About the role

Coca-Cola Beverages Africa is seeking a Tactical Production Planner to join its Midrand team. Reporting to the Production & Deployment Planning Manager, you will be responsible for translating the master production plan into a rolling 13‑week tactical view, ensuring product availability and smooth cross‑functional execution across the supply chain.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and coordinate a 13‑week tactical production readiness view based on demand signals, inventory position and site execution inputs.
• Translate the approved medium‑term master production plan into a tactical production outlook aligned with site‑based production and deployment.
• Review the 13‑week outlook against capacity, material constraints and deployment requirements, identifying gaps and updating stakeholders.
• Monitor projected production capacity, finished‑goods inventory, stock cover and supply risks, escalating overstock, stock‑out or capacity issues.
• Recommend and coordinate mitigation actions such as production re‑phasing, volume balancing or inventory builds.
• Provide early warning of operational risks that could impact product availability or service levels.

Required profile

• Experience in tactical production planning within a manufacturing or beverage environment.
• Ability to analyse demand, capacity and inventory data to create actionable plans.
• Strong cross‑functional collaboration skills with Master Planning, Manufacturing, Logistics and Demand Planning teams.
• Proactive problem‑solving mindset with the capacity to identify and communicate risks early.
