Systems Controller

About the role

Life Vincent Pallotti Hospital is looking for a Systems Controller in Cape Town, reporting to the Patient Services Manager. The postholder ensures quality service for all hospital system users and acts as the site contact for telecommunication queries.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first-line support to hospital system users and assist them during the rollout of new implementations
• Maintain and manage all on-site IT systems and ensure their security
• Follow the Life@work process for users who need computer access
• Set up and run an internal call logging process and log events, including disabling users on the LHC system after resignation or contract termination
• Troubleshoot system problems before logging an event with the Contact Centre
• Coordinate and supervise third-party vendors such as CEOS, Di Data and Telkom on software and hardware projects
• Maintain the PABX room and switch access room, and keep LAN cabling neat
• Manage the IT budget and obtain approval for IT expenses

Required profile

• Matric and a tertiary qualification in Information Technology, or CompTIA A+ and N+ (certified)
• Minimum of 2 years of information technology experience
• ITIL Foundation (advantageous)
• Excellent computer skills and proven experience
• Strong communication, coordination and influencing skills, attention to detail and ability to work under pressure

Required skills

• Knowledge of IMeds, Impilo, SAP, Kronos and Vision is an advantage
• Problem-solving, analysis, judgement, resilience and customer responsiveness
