Systems Analyst I

About the role

We are looking for an energetic Systems Analyst to join Capitec Bank’s systems and integration team in Stellenbosch. The role focuses on designing end‑to‑end system solutions that connect ideas, technology and people, turning complex business needs into clear, well‑structured designs.

Key responsibilities

• Design system solutions that fit into the wider technology landscape and support real business outcomes.
• Break complex requirements into clear, structured components that development teams can easily implement.
• Translate technical concepts into diagrams, documentation and explanations for stakeholders.
• Collaborate closely with developers, engineers and business partners to refine solutions and resolve system issues.
• Review delivered solutions to ensure alignment with original designs and make adjustments as needed.

Required profile

• Several years of experience in systems analysis or solution design, preferably 5–8 years.
• Background in software development or engineering with a strong understanding of code.
• Proven ability to design system flows, integrations and solution diagrams.
• Experience working with complex, integrated systems and solid knowledge of databases, web technologies and system interfaces.
• Strong communication skills and the confidence to explain ideas clearly.
