Supply Chain & Procurement Specialist – Stock, Planning & Supplier Management

About the role

We are seeking a Cape Town‑based Supply Chain & Procurement Specialist to manage stock, planning and supplier relationships for an international startup that designs high‑performance networking hardware. The role reports directly to the CFO and will replace the current stock and supply lead, bringing discipline and visibility to the end‑to‑end supply chain.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate stock and inventory data across markets and SKUs, including counts and reconciliations.
• Manage the full purchase‑order cycle with the manufacturer: raise, track, chase orders, confirm pricing and flag potential gaps.
• Track inbound goods from factory to market, coordinate with the clearing agent and ensure lead times and arrival dates are visible.
• Plan production with the manufacturer and engineering teams, balancing market demand with realistic build capacity.
• Control firmware and product configuration, ensuring the correct version is shipped to each market.
• Develop and maintain demand forecasts per market to guide procurement and production decisions.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for the manufacturer and clearing agent, holding them to agreed lead times and commitments.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing stock, procurement and planning end‑to‑end.
• Ability to work closely with manufacturers, engineering teams and logistics partners.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to data integrity.
• Comfort reporting to senior finance leadership.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel (spreadsheets) for inventory and data management.
