Supply Account Manager

About the role

AnyVan is looking for a Supply Account Manager to join its Allocations team in Cape Town. You will use your problem-solving, sales and negotiation skills and logistics knowledge to work with transport providers (TPs) so that every job is covered efficiently and profitably, creating value for all parties.

Key responsibilities

• Pitch available jobs to transport providers mainly by phone, manage pipelines and assign jobs so partners stay engaged and motivated
• Keep track of the TP network: availability, vehicles, locations, jobs they can cover and their rates and margins
• Negotiate competitive rates that work for AnyVan, customers and TPs
• Create routes and schedules for multi-job loads and monitor them so jobs run to schedule
• Resolve issues quickly with TPs and customers, including last-minute cancellations or failures by re-allocating jobs
• Handle admin such as checking proof of delivery and keeping in touch with customers
• Hit targets on job allocation success, premium spend percentage, on-time delivery and client satisfaction, transport partner engagement and a zero cancellation ratio
• Work closely with Sales and Customer Services teams

Required profile

• Experience in a commercial contact centre, transport broker, transport coordinator or live control/logistics role
• Commercial approach, able to build trust-based relationships and negotiate with TPs
• Confident communicator with internal teams and external partners, comfortable with targets
• Self-motivated, organised with an eye for detail, resilient under pressure
• Currently living within commuting distance of the Central Business District offices and willing to work onsite 5 days a week, including weekends and evenings on a rotational shift

Required skills

• Strong Excel skills for reporting
• Bonus points for knowledge of the UK/EU market
