Strategic Account Manager

About the role

Our client, a leading telecommunications provider, is seeking a Strategic Account Manager to own and grow a portfolio of high‑value clients. You will be responsible for strengthening relationships, driving revenue growth and delivering tailored solutions to key accounts.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and expand a portfolio of strategic accounts, ensuring high customer satisfaction and retention.
• Develop and execute account growth plans, including cross‑selling, upselling and introducing new products.
• Build trusted relationships with key stakeholders and decision‑makers across client organisations.
• Lead commercial negotiations, pricing discussions and contract renewals while protecting profitability.
• Analyse sales data, market trends and customer performance to identify new business opportunities.
• Prepare account reviews, forecasts and commercial proposals to support strategic decisions.
• Collaborate with internal teams such as Sales Operations, Marketing, Finance and Supply Chain to deliver seamless service.
• Monitor competitor activity and market developments to create additional value for clients.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in Key Account Management, Strategic Account Management or Enterprise Sales.
• Proven track record of managing high‑value portfolios and growing revenue.
• Experience in the telecommunications or consumer electronics sector.
• Strong analytical ability to interpret sales data and spot growth opportunities.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience using CRM systems.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Business, Sales or Marketing is a plus.
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle.
