Store Designer

About the role

Join South Africa’s leading fashion retailer as a Store Designer, working from the Truworths Head Office in Cape Town. You will create innovative store layouts that reflect brand aesthetics while meeting operational requirements in a fast‑paced, competitive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop store layouts and floor plans that align with brand guidelines and operational needs.
• Collaborate with tenant coordinators, architects, project managers, visual display, marketing, operations, and suppliers to ensure cohesive execution.
• Create detailed 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD, SketchUp, and related tools.
• Plan spaces to maximize product display and optimise customer traffic flow.
• Maintain design consistency across all locations and stay updated on retail design trends.
• Assist in selecting materials, finishes, fixtures, flooring, and lighting within budget constraints.
• Manage project costs, timelines, and post‑opening evaluations to suggest improvements.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Interior Design, Architecture or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in retail or commercial design.
• Strong creativity, attention to detail, and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, aligned with Truworths’ values.
