Store Assistant – Stockroom (Knysna Mall)

About the role

Join Woolworths as a Store Assistant in the stockroom at Knysna Mall. You will help keep the stockroom organised, hygienic and safe while supporting the store’s daily operations and internal customers.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain an organised, clean and safe stockroom in line with company policies and OHASA standards.
• Process stock movements such as returns, inter‑branch transfers and waste according to Woolworths guidelines.
• Provide prompt, courteous service to internal customers and respond to their requests.
• Support store operations by keeping the sales floor and back‑of‑house areas well‑stocked and tidy.
• Observe and report any dishonesty, shrinkage or fraud.
• Maintain accurate stock records and documentation using good numeracy and literacy skills.
• Participate in team meetings, goal setting and scheduling.

Required profile

• Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
• Previous experience in a retail or FMCG stockroom environment is desirable.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts as required by store operations.
• Basic product knowledge of stockroom inventory and retail merchandise.
• Strong communication skills for interaction with internal customers and team members.
• Good numeracy and literacy to handle stock records accurately.
• Reliability, integrity and adherence to attendance, dress code and ethical standards.
