Stock Controller

About the role

A permanent Stock Controller position is open at Herolim Private Hospital in Mthatha, Eastern Cape, reporting to the Pharmacy Manager. The postholder contributes to the effective functioning and coordination of stock across all wards and the theatre.

Key responsibilities

• Perform cycle counts and stock takes, capture results and investigate variances
• Receive, check and unpack stock while verifying orders against invoices
• Assist with stock purchases and stock control, including file maintenance
• Capture invoices, handle supplier queries and process credits daily
• Issue and capture stock requisitions to wards and theatre daily
• Manage negative and dead stock
• Perform stock rotation and check expiry dates of all items systematically
• Carry out general administrative functions as requested

Required profile

• Grade 12
• Sound knowledge of and at least 2 years' experience in stock control within a hospital environment
• Ability to communicate effectively
