Staff Accountant – Construction (Remote, Central Time)

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Staff Accountant to join our growing finance team. This remote position works on Central Time Zone business hours and focuses on construction‑related accounting tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily accounting and bookkeeping activities.
• Manage accounts payable, including expense entry, bill processing and vendor payments.
• Handle accounts receivable functions.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing processes.
• Ensure accurate recording of all transactions.
• Conduct regular account reconciliations.
• Maintain vendor records and guarantee timely payments.
• Prepare financial reports and assist with variance analysis.
• Assist with payroll‑related accounting tasks.
• Help ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
