Source to Pay Officer

About the role

The Source to Pay Officer will join PwC's South Africa Technology & Innovation Centre (SATIC) within the Business Services Procurement delivery model. Working under UK‑based managers, the role supports buying requests, purchase order creation, contract administration and overall Source‑to‑Pay (S2P) operations, offering exposure to the wider contracting process.

Key responsibilities

• Fulfil buying requests and create purchase orders in line with established S2P processes.
• Manage the full lifecycle of purchase orders, including amendments, closures and query resolution.
• Collaborate with requestors and suppliers to resolve PO and buying queries promptly.
• Perform contract administration, housekeeping and monitor contract expiry dates, escalating at‑risk contracts.
• Act as the primary point of contact for buying requests, PO issues and related stakeholder queries.
• Coordinate inputs from business units, subject‑matter experts and procurement tools.
• Produce accurate reporting on purchase orders, contract status and S2P activity.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Accounting or Finance.
• 2–4 years of proven experience in procurement, sourcing, purchasing or related administrative roles.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a corporate or shared‑services environment.
• Experience with offshore or shared‑services delivery models is advantageous.

Required skills

• Experience with Source‑to‑Pay tools, preferably Coupa.
• Familiarity with procurement workflow platforms and purchase order systems.
