Solutions Architect (Enablement)

About the role

The role is responsible for defining and implementing complex technology solutions that align with business and IT strategy, providing architectural guidance, and driving innovation to deliver robust, scalable, future‑fit systems.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of advanced IT architectures aligned with business strategy and technology roadmaps.
• Define and enforce architectural principles, standards and governance to ensure consistency, scalability and maintainability.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to translate business objectives into technology strategies and frameworks.
• Conduct high‑level solution assessments and architectural reviews for feasibility, security and efficiency.
• Drive innovation by identifying, evaluating and implementing emerging technologies.
• Oversee complex system integrations ensuring seamless interoperability between applications, platforms and infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain architecture models that provide a strategic blueprint for IT development and investment.
• Optimise IT performance by refining existing architectures for resilience, scalability and cost‑effectiveness.
• Establish and lead architecture working groups to ensure alignment across teams.
• Provide mentorship and technical leadership to junior architects.
• Develop risk mitigation strategies aligned with cybersecurity and regulatory compliance.
• Engage with external vendors and technology partners to evaluate solutions and drive adoption.

Required profile

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field (Honours degree preferred).
• 5–8 years’ experience in a similar environment, including 2–3 years at management level.
• Proven ability to develop and execute IT strategies that align with business objectives.
• Deep understanding of cybersecurity, data governance and compliance requirements in financial services.
