Solutions Architect – 12 Month Contract (Banking & Finance)

About the role

Our client is seeking a Solutions Architect to design and deliver technology solutions that support strategic objectives within the banking and finance sector. This 12‑month onsite contract role will involve close collaboration with business stakeholders, technical teams and external partners.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain end‑to‑end solution architecture, ensuring alignment with business strategy, enterprise architecture standards and technology roadmaps.
• Translate business capabilities, requirements and regulatory obligations into scalable, secure and resilient technology solutions.
• Provide architectural leadership across projects, guiding solution design, integration patterns, data flows and technology selection.
• Collaborate with product owners, engineering teams and enterprise architects to deliver fit‑for‑purpose, cost‑effective and sustainable solutions.
• Govern architectural compliance by reviewing designs, managing technical risks, promoting reuse and driving continuous improvement.

Required profile

• 12‑15 years of IT experience, including 7+ years as a Solution Architect.
• 5+ years of experience in financial services.
• TOGAF certification preferred.
• Proven experience in enterprise integration, cloud architecture, security architecture and banking systems.
