Solar Engineering Manager & Sales Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Solar Engineering Manager & Sales Engineer to lead the technical delivery of commercial solar projects for our independent power production business. The role combines engineering oversight with client‑facing sales support, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and generate the expected performance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical delivery of office‑building solar installations, including site assessments, system sizing/design, equipment selection and quality‑controlled installation.
• Oversee outsourced installation partners, ensuring compliance with safety standards and seamless integration with existing electrical infrastructure.
• Provide post‑installation technical support, troubleshoot issues and monitor system performance over the asset’s life.
• Conduct feasibility studies that translate technical data into cost‑savings comparisons against municipal tariffs for client proposals.
• Identify viable properties, support business development and help grow the commercial solar pipeline.

Required profile

• Qualified Electrical Engineer with hands‑on solar/renewable installation experience.
• Strong knowledge of grid‑tie and hybrid systems, inverters and battery storage, and relevant compliance standards (COC, NRS 097, municipal grid‑tie requirements).
• Proven ability to run feasibility studies, manage installations and maintain client relationships through performance monitoring.
• Comfortable presenting technical findings directly to clients and an entrepreneurial mindset.
