Software Engineer Intern

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Software Engineer Intern to join our team in Cape Town. The internship provides structured training and mentorship, allowing you to develop, test and maintain software applications while adhering to industry‑standard coding practices.

Key responsibilities

• Develop front‑end and/or back‑end features based on project requirements.
• Write clean, maintainable code following Object‑Oriented Programming standards.
• Perform accurate effort estimations and monitor estimation tolerance.
• Track progress and log activities to ensure transparent delivery.
• Identify and raise any delivery blockers promptly.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Debug and resolve issues efficiently.
• Apply test‑driven development techniques to ensure code quality.

Required profile

• Based in Cape Town, South Africa.
• South African citizen.
• Completed Matric and hold an accredited degree or diploma (NQF level 5‑8).
• No prior SETA‑related internship experience required.
