Software Engineer II, Frontend – Growth

About the role

You’ll be joining the Growth team, which owns merchant onboarding and activation – everything between a new account and a first live payment. It’s a newly formed team taking on a new product area for Primer, giving you plenty of scope to shape both what we build and how we build it.

Key responsibilities

• Ship frontend features for the self‑serve onboarding and platform experience, with support from senior engineers on scoping and architecture.
• Work in React building the dashboard merchants use to onboard with Primer.
• Learn from a hands‑on senior frontend engineer who is setting the team’s conventions and standards.
• Deploy your own features to production and track their impact once live.
• Collaborate closely with Design to craft the merchant’s first experience.
• Contribute to the Python backend when needed, without prior backend experience required.

Required profile

• Experience shipping production frontend features with growing autonomy.
• Comfortable writing tests and handling edge cases and errors.
• Genuine interest in the onboarding/activation space.
• Willingness to contribute to backend Python code if required.
