Software Engineer – E‑Commerce (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a full‑time Software Engineer to join a leading technology company’s e‑commerce team. The position is fully remote and focuses on building high‑performance backend services that power real‑time user experiences for millions of customers worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services in distributed systems.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices and testing standards.
• Profile, debug, and improve system performance through algorithmic optimisations.
• Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and technical design sessions.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to ship features.

Required profile

• New‑grad or early‑career professional with a strong foundation in software development.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while contributing to a collaborative team.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and a passion for building reliable, high‑throughput systems.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Go, Python, or Java.
• Experience with distributed systems, microservices, or cloud‑native development.
• Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases and performance tuning.
• Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design principles.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
