Software Engineer: Back-End II

About the role

We are expanding our Credit Access team and need a proactive back‑end engineer to design, build and maintain the services that power our credit estimate feature on web and mobile. You will own critical components of our purpose‑lending platform, ensuring they are reliable, scalable and secure.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement robust back‑end systems for credit estimation across website and app.
• Develop and maintain purpose‑lending products, including migration from legacy to modern architectures.
• Write clean, reusable code, APIs and libraries for future engineering teams.
• Optimize database queries and data models for performance and scalability.
• Debug issues of all severity, from minor bugs to production incidents.
• Champion quality through automated testing, CI/CD pipelines and secure coding standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of proven back‑end development experience.
• Strong ability to translate complex business requirements into clean, scalable solutions.
• Self‑starter who can identify problems, solve them and document solutions for the team.
• Leadership instinct – willing to share knowledge and step up when needed.
