About the role

Amazon is looking for curious, technology‑driven students to join as Software Development Engineers (SDE‑I) for the 2026 cohort. You will work on scalable, cloud‑native services that impact millions of customers worldwide, owning the full lifecycle of your code from design to production.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross‑disciplinary teams to design, build, and operate innovative products and services.
• Develop scalable solutions using cloud‑native architectures and microservices in a large distributed environment.
• Participate in code reviews, write technical documentation, and contribute to AI‑powered development tools.
• Maintain resilient, fault‑tolerant, cost‑effective distributed systems.
• Practice CI/CD, on‑call duties, and operational excellence through monitoring and troubleshooting.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated (within 24 months) from a Bachelor’s or Graduate program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, or related STEM fields.
• Expected graduation between October 2025 and September 2026, or recent graduate.
• Demonstrated experience with at least one general‑purpose programming language.
