Software Developer – Hybrid (Mid to Senior)

About the role

We are a well‑established fintech organisation looking for an intermediate to senior Software Developer to join our team in Stellenbosch. The position follows a hybrid working model, combining office collaboration with remote flexibility.

Key responsibilities

• Integrate technical client solutions and develop APIs.
• Perform development testing, bug fixing and routine maintenance.
• Design and implement new features for high‑volume transaction systems.
• Provide 3rd‑line support and ensure system security through regular audits.
• Improve development processes and mentor junior team members.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in software development, computer science or engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years of professional development experience.
• Experience working in continuous integration and testing environments.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.

Required skills

• Java (Standard and Enterprise editions) and Spring Boot.
• SQL databases – MS SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
• Eclipse or NetBeans IDEs, Maven, and GIT.
• OpenAPI protocols.
• Exposure to multi‑threaded, high‑volume real‑time systems (advantageous).
• Postilion development (source/sink node) – advantageous.
• Angular framework – advantageous.
