Software Developer (C#/C)

About the role

Mintek is looking for a Software Developer with experience in C# and C to work on established industrial products. You will extend existing functionality, create medium‑sized features, and support the R&D team in bringing new solutions to market while improving documentation and user manuals.

Key responsibilities

• Lead medium‑sized projects to implement new features or products.
• Design, develop, and test medium‑complexity features that span multiple subsystems.
• Provide first‑line technical support and troubleshoot existing applications.
• Assist junior developers with training and knowledge transfer.
• Participate in strategic initiatives, suggest process improvements, and propose new tools or components.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, environment, and quality (SHEQ) requirements.
• Represent the division at local trade shows.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of vocational experience in software development.
• B.Sc. in IT/Computer Science or equivalent (NQF level 7); Honours (NQF level 8) is preferred.
• Ability to elicit functional specifications and translate them into code.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
