Software Developer – ASP.NET, C# & Web Technologies

About the role

This vacancy is within the IT Systems department of the Information Management & Services division and reports to the IT Development Manager. The ideal candidate will have completed Matric and hold a post‑Matric qualification in software development, or possess equivalent professional experience.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and configure software and data solutions following established tools, testing and implementation procedures.
• Design application changes based on specifications, adhering to company standards and performance criteria.
• Maintain and modify applications, update documentation, perform unit testing and support on‑call issue resolution.
• Develop and execute unit and system integration tests, and produce documentation for new or modified applications.
• Evaluate interrelationships between applications, modules and databases, managing impacts effectively.
• Collaborate with users to understand required changes or new application needs.

Required profile

• Matric qualification with a post‑Matric credential in software development, or equivalent experience.
• 3–6 years of professional development experience using object‑oriented languages and relational databases.
• Experience with Microsoft ASP.NET (C#), Microsoft SQL, TypeScript or JavaScript.
• Knowledge of modern web development techniques and a web component framework such as React, Angular, Vue or Web Components.
