Software Developer – Application Development

About the role

TIH is seeking a motivated Software Developer to join its team supporting leading South African financial service providers. You will design, develop, and maintain application software that improves operational efficiency and meets client requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and enhance existing applications while contributing to new application projects.
• Identify and implement improvements to processes, systems, and procedures.
• Monitor, diagnose, and resolve software defects and performance issues.
• Perform routine testing of websites and applications.
• Implement security measures such as data leak prevention and message encryption.
• Maintain an application roadmap aligned with business priorities.
• Provide advanced customer service for complex cases and enquiries.

Required profile

• Grade 12 or SAQA‑equivalent qualification.
• Recognised software development certification, degree or diploma.
• At least three years of experience with relevant programming languages or technologies.
• Commitment to continuous learning, professional accreditation and staying current with industry best practices.
• Understanding of organisational policies, regulatory codes and operational compliance.

Required skills

• Azure cloud platform experience (advantageous).
