About the role
The Haven Night Shelter seeks a dedicated Social Worker to support adults living on the streets in Swartland. You will deliver social work services, develop personal development plans and facilitate exit strategies to promote successful reintegration.
Key responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive social work services, including assessment, counselling and referral for shelter residents.
- Develop, monitor and update Personal Development Plans (PDPs) and Exit Plans for each client.
- Organise and lead group work sessions, delivering at least 10 hours of group activities per week.
Required profile
- Qualified Social Worker registered with SACSSP in South Africa.
- Valid Code B driver’s licence.
- No criminal record.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Fluency in English; a second language is an advantage.
Required skills
- Proficiency with MS Outlook.
- Proficiency with MS Word.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
