Social Media Manager – Remote (South Africa)

About the role

TalentPop App is building an in‑house social media team and needs a Social Media Manager to own the end‑to‑end experience. You will create compelling content, drive conversations, and ensure every touchpoint on social feels authentic to the brand.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and curate brand‑aligned content for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and other organic platforms.
• Repurpose long‑form assets into short‑form posts, stories and reels.
• Schedule and publish content, manage calendars and optimise each piece for its platform and audience.
• Monitor and respond to comments and DMs, handling pre‑sale questions, post‑purchase inquiries and general community engagement.
• Track engagement metrics, moderation volume and content performance, surfacing insights for the marketing team.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of experience in social media management or a closely related role.
• Deep knowledge of Instagram, TikTok and Facebook on both content and community sides.
• Strong writing ability with a clear brand voice and tone.
• Excellent organization across multiple content calendars and priorities.
• Proven ability to work independently with minimal oversight.

Required skills

• Canva (or similar design tool).
• Adobe Creative Cloud (or similar).
• Social media scheduling tools (e.g., Buffer, Hootsuite).
