Snowflake Developer – Data Engineering

About the role

Amidel is seeking a Snowflake Developer to design, build and optimise data warehousing solutions for enterprise clients. The role involves working with data teams to create scalable pipelines and reporting layers on the Snowflake cloud platform.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain ELT pipelines and data models in Snowflake.
• Write and optimise complex SQL queries and stored procedures.
• Integrate Snowflake with diverse data sources and third‑party tools.
• Collaborate with business analysts and BI developers to deliver reliable data sets.
• Apply performance‑tuning, cost‑optimisation and security best practices.
• Document data processes, ensure data quality and comply with governance standards.

Required profile

• 3+ years of data engineering experience and 2+ years hands‑on Snowflake.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field.
• Proven experience with ETL/ELT tools such as dbt, Matillion, Informatica, Talend or Azure Data Factory.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and version‑control/CI‑CD pipelines.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and effective communication skills.

• Snowflake (schema design, SnowSQL, performance tuning).
• Advanced SQL.
• ETL/ELT tools: dbt, Matillion, Informatica, Talend, Azure Data Factory.
• Cloud services: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform.
• Git and CI/CD pipelines.
