Site Reliability Engineer – Content Intelligence & Regulatory Apps

About the role

Impact.com is looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to join the Content Intelligence & Regulatory Apps group. You will own and grow the reliability practice for services that index, monitor, and enrich social and web content on the platform, focusing on building SRE disciplines rather than firefighting.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own SLO/SLI practice for services on Google Cloud Platform, establishing error budgets and baselines.
• Develop observability, audit trails, and runbooks to ensure secure, repeatable operations.
• Collaborate with squad leads, Platform Engineering, and Cloud Operations to embed reliability frameworks.
• Instrument Java Spring services, tune the JVM, and harden infrastructure for stability and data integrity.
• Lead structured root‑cause analysis and create runbooks for incident response.

Required profile

• Software‑engineering‑led SRE mindset with ownership of reliability, resilience, and compliance.
• Experience building and scaling reliability practices in a production environment.
• Ability to work across multiple squads and influence engineering habits.
