Site Manager – Industrial Boiler Projects

About the role

The Site Manager will lead the day‑to‑day execution of industrial water‑tube boiler projects, ensuring safety, quality and productivity standards are met. Reporting to the Head of Construction, the role demands a proactive, detail‑oriented professional who can coordinate resources, manage teams and liaise with clients and subcontractors.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with site establishment and ensure all required resources are available.
• Support planners and estimating teams with site‑related inputs during tender preparation.
• Control expenditure, including labour, purchases and transport.
• Monitor health, safety and environmental compliance and log risks and variations.
• Participate in customer and site meetings, maintain communication with clients, subcontractors and internal teams.
• Supervise artisans, supervisors and labour teams, compile and submit site reports and documentation.
• Coordinate stakeholder, subcontractor and community interactions.

Required profile

• Grade 12 / Matric with a Trade Test Certificate; valid driver’s licence.
• 5–10 years site‑based experience in engineering, construction or maintenance.
• At least 5 years supervising teams on similar projects.
• Exposure to ISO systems and strong report‑writing abilities.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications and method statements.
