Site Agent – High Rise Residential Developments

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Site Agent to lead the delivery of upmarket multi‑storey residential developments in Cape Town. The role involves full responsibility for site operations, from establishment through to practical completion, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety and cost control.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all site activities from mobilisation to handover, coordinating subcontractors and direct labour to meet programme targets.
• Monitor construction quality, ensuring compliance with project specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Enforce health, safety and environmental standards on site.
• Control project costs, minimise waste and report progress to stakeholders.
• Attend and contribute to site meetings, liaising with clients, consultants and professional teams.
• Prepare accurate progress reports and maintain comprehensive site records.

Required profile

• National Diploma or Degree in Building or Construction Management.
• Minimum 8 years’ experience as a Site Agent with a reputable building contractor.
• Proven track record delivering multi‑storey residential or luxury apartment projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, quality control and H&S requirements.
• Valid driver’s licence and excellent organisational and communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with construction planning software (advantageous).
