Showroom Manager – Springs Mall

About the role

The Showroom Manager is responsible for the overall performance and daily management of a homechoice showroom in Gauteng, South Africa. The role combines sales leadership, operational excellence, customer service and financial control to meet the company’s targets and brand standards.

Key responsibilities

• Drive showroom sales against targets, monitor performance metrics and coach the team to improve conversion, upselling and average basket value.
• Lead daily performance discussions, morning huddles and ensure execution of promotions, online deals and merchandising standards.
• Deliver a consistent, high‑quality customer experience, manage escalations and ensure staff are visible and engaged on the sales floor.
• Motivate and develop a diverse team, manage scheduling, attendance and performance feedback in line with company policies.
• Oversee financial controls including expense management, cash handling, reconciliation and variance investigation.
• Manage stock processes, shrinkage control, weekly stock updates and preparation for stock takes.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, governance and audit requirements, and act as a role model for ethical conduct.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years experience in a retail, sales‑driven environment.
• Minimum 5 years experience leading and managing teams.
• Proven ability to manage performance, expenses, shrinkage and customer service.
• Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent; tertiary qualification in Retail, Sales or Marketing preferred.
• Strong computer literacy with experience using retail systems and MS Office.
• Ability to work shifts, weekends and public holidays; clear credit and criminal record.
