SHE Officer – High Voltage Equipment

About the role

The SHE Officer supports ACTOM in developing and maintaining a Safety, Health and Environment Management System for high‑voltage equipment, ensuring compliance with ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and client specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Support the development and maintenance of SHE Management Systems, including hazard identification, risk assessments, environmental registers, method statements and safe work procedures.
• Plan and conduct SHEQ audits, inspections, toolbox talks and investigations, and compile related reports.
• Maintain SHEQ records such as training, PPE, fall‑protection plans, and ensure non‑conformances are raised, tracked and resolved.

Required profile

• Grade 12 qualification and a SAMTRAC/National Safety Management Diploma.
• 2–3 years of relevant experience with SHE Management Systems (ISO 14001/ISO 45001) and client specifications.
• Registration with the South African Council for the Project and Construction Management Professions (SACPCMP).

Required skills

• Fall‑protection planning and implementation.

• Environmental management and auditing.
• Health, safety, environmental and quality auditing (ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
• Electrical knowledge (advantageous).
