Service Technician – Water Filtration & Pipe Fitting

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on Service Technician to install, maintain and service water filtration and plumbing systems for clients across KwaZulu‑Natal. The role combines technical problem‑solving with on‑site customer interaction and regular travel.

Key responsibilities

• Liaise with clients to understand service requirements and schedule visits.
• Install, maintain and service water filtration equipment such as membranes, pumps, bag filters and motors.
• Perform pipe‑fitting and plumbing work on‑site, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Diagnose and repair equipment efficiently to minimise downtime.
• Conduct site inspections, handle chemicals safely and carry out routine plant maintenance.
• Travel to multiple client locations throughout KZN as needed.
• Communicate clearly with clients, team members and support staff.
• Complete all tasks accurately, safely and within agreed timelines.

Required profile

• Matric certificate.
• Technical qualification in plumbing, fitting, electrical or mechanical (advantageous).
• Proven experience in plumbing or pipe fitting (essential).
• Experience with water filtration systems is highly advantageous.
• Basic electrical or borehole knowledge is a plus.
• Fluent in English and Afrikaans.
• Clear criminal record and a valid Code 8 driver’s licence.
• Willingness to travel regularly and represent the company professionally.
