Service Technician – HVAC, Electrical & Instrumentation

About the role

The Service Technician will provide on‑site service, commissioning and technical support for HVAC, electrical and instrumentation systems. Reporting to the Director, the role combines hands‑on fault finding with client liaison and contractor oversight.

Key responsibilities

• Manage allocated service plans and schedule technical appointments.
• Plan and execute project commissioning, coordinating electrical and control requirements.
• Liaise with customers to set expectations and deliver service updates.
• Communicate professionally with stakeholders via email, face‑to‑face or phone.
• Participate in weekly meetings and conduct post‑service evaluations.
• Supervise on‑site contractors and ensure compliance with safety protocols.

Required profile

• Matric certificate and a valid Trade Certificate as an Electrician.
• Minimum 5 years experience as a service technician with wiring, controls and instrumentation expertise.
• Completed training in instrumentation and controls; computer literacy.
• Valid Code 08 driver’s licence; fluent English (Afrikaans desirable).
