Senior Technician

About the role

The Senior Technician will be based at G4S Secure Solutions' Head Office in Gauteng and will report to the Regional Technical Manager. The role focuses on managing technology contracts, ensuring financial performance, SLA compliance, staff coordination, client satisfaction, and health & safety within the security services division.

Key responsibilities

• Administer technology contracts to achieve sound financial results.
• Plan and manage SLA contracts with emphasis on maintenance, sustainability, cost‑effectiveness and labour.
• Oversee contract margin, billable hours, job cards and cost timelines.
• Allocate staff to workflow, coordinate daily tasks and monitor performance.
• Train, up‑skill and motivate subordinates while evaluating performance.
• Enforce G4S code of conduct and disciplinary standards.
• Coordinate maintenance and project processes to ensure successful contract delivery.
• Maintain client relationships, drive retention and uphold service levels.
• Conduct quality controls, inspections and ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Participate in health and safety planning, report incidents and attend safety forums.

Required profile

• Self‑starter with a proven track record in policy adherence and best practices.
• Results‑driven, aligned with organisational values.
• Grade 12 / Matric equivalent and a valid driver’s licence.
• 3‑5 years experience in electronic security services or maintenance.
• Formal technical training is advantageous.
• South African citizenship is a distinct advantage.
