Senior Systems Administrator

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Systems Administrator to manage and maintain our fully remote IT infrastructure. You will be responsible for ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability of servers, networks, and storage across Windows and Linux environments.

Key responsibilities

• Administer Windows and Linux servers, virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper‑V) and cloud integrations.
• Develop, test and maintain backup, disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• Monitor system performance, network connectivity and respond to alerts promptly.
• Implement and enforce security policies, firewalls, antivirus, IDS/IPS and conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
• Manage user accounts, permissions and access controls in Active Directory or equivalent directory services.
• Create and maintain documentation, reports and automation scripts for routine tasks.
• Lead and mentor junior IT staff, providing technical guidance and training.
• Coordinate with vendors, service providers and internal teams for issue resolution and project delivery.
• Oversee Citrix environments (XenApp, XenDesktop, NetScaler) and ensure high availability.
• Participate in IT projects such as hardware/software rollouts, system migrations and upgrades.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience in systems administration for Windows and Linux platforms.
• Strong knowledge of virtualization, backup/recovery, security best practices and compliance requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and manage complex infrastructure projects.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and a proactive approach to process improvement.
