Senior Structural Engineer

About the role

The Senior Structural Engineer will lead structural design and project delivery for a variety of built‑environment projects serving both public and private sector clients. The role combines technical leadership, stakeholder management and contribution to business development within V3 Consulting Engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Engage and manage internal and external stakeholders, including senior clients.
• Oversee design management and project implementation from concept to completion.
• Control documentation, quality assurance and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor construction activities, administer contracts and ensure adherence to specifications.
• Manage project budgets and cost control where delegated.
• Mentor and supervise support staff, fostering team development.
• Drive business development initiatives and networking opportunities.
• Report to the Business Unit Manager on progress and performance.

Required profile

• BSc or BTech Civil Engineering, or an Advanced Diploma in Civil Engineering.
• Professional registration with ECSA as Pr. Eng. or Pr. Tech.
• Beneficial registrations: NHBRC and GBCSA.
• Minimum of 5 + years post‑professional registration experience.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Experience with Prokon software.
• Knowledge of AEC packages such as Revit or BIM tools (beneficial).
• Familiarity with JBCC and NEC contract suites (beneficial).
