Senior Stock Accountant (Centurion)

About the role

Our client is looking for a Senior Stock Accountant to own inventory accounting, stock control governance, and financial reporting across multiple locations. You will work closely with Warehouse, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Finance teams to ensure inventory accuracy, valuation, and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and reconcile inventory accounts for all branches and business units.
• Ensure accurate inventory valuation, including landed‑cost allocations for imported stock.
• Perform monthly reconciliations between ERP/WMS systems and the General Ledger.
• Investigate and resolve stock variances, discrepancies, and related financial issues.
• Review stock adjustments, write‑offs, obsolete stock provisions, and inventory aging.
• Oversee cycle counts, stock takes, and inventory control processes.
• Monitor stock accuracy, shrinkage, and performance, implementing corrective actions.
• Support month‑end, year‑end, and audit processes related to inventory.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, financial governance, and audit requirements.
• Maintain accuracy of intercompany inventory transactions and multi‑currency balances.

Required profile

• BCom Accounting or equivalent financial qualification.
• Professional accounting designation (SAIPA, SAICA, CIMA, ACCA) advantageous.
• 5–10 years of experience in stock, inventory, or cost accounting.
• Proven experience with inventory reconciliations, stock valuation, and reporting.
• Experience in multi‑branch or multi‑site environments.

Required skills

• ERP systems (e.g., Acumatica).
• Warehouse Management System (WMS) integration.
• Inventory reconciliation and valuation techniques.
• Knowledge of imports, landed costs, customs duties, and HS codes.
• Multi‑currency inventory handling.
